Teaching has always been my passion. Yes---I used to plead with my brothers to let me "teach" them using old workbooks. I enjoyed reading even more than playing school. I devoured every book at home and made frequent trips to the public library. In fact, if I was not a teacher, I'd have to work at a bookstore!
My students continually amaze me. The thoughts, ideas, and plans they have are tremendous. I love to read their writing, share book recommendations, and discuss topics of interest with them. They are as much teachers as I am! I know that my life has become richer because of the years I have spent with my adolescent thinkers! So, students, keep reading, keep writing, keep talking!
